Antenna dishes of the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array radiotelescope astronomy observatory near Magdalena, New Mexico in the United States. The Very Large Array, or VLA, consists of 27 antenna dishes, each 92 feet high and 25 meters or 84 feet in diameter. They are arranged in a y-shape along railroad tracks which allows them to be moved into different configurations by a special rail-mounted crane.
