A Jewish-era ossuary in the museum at the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.  Ossuaries were used to hold the remains of skeletons when space in a tomb was needed for a later burial.  Men's ossuaries had a rounded dome lid, while female ossuaries, such as this one, had a triangular lid.
